Coaching
Coaching is very important in helping to manage the symptoms of ADD/ADHD. Often, many clients with ADHD know what areas they are having difficulty in and sometimes know what they "should" be doing to fix it, but just can't do it. Getting coaching for ADHD is similar to getting couching for anything else like weight loss, exercise, or developing in a sport. Although it can sometimes sound easy, it takes having another person there, helping you find out how to make it work for you to find success.
At the Bay Area Center for ADHD, we incorporate coaching into our work with clients in just a strictly coaching sense and in our therapy. Whether it is learning new skills or putting skills that you know about but haven't been able to put in practice, we can help you develop habits for managing your ADD/ADHD and help you develop systems for maintaining those habits.
