Individual Treatment

When working with children and adults with ADD/ADHD, we facilitate the learning of skills which decrease distraction, regulate emotional reactions and impulsivity, and increase organization.  We also address the secondary issues to ADD/ADHD such as low self esteem, drug and/or alcohol abuse, shame, depression, anxiety, and/or trauma. We work closely with psychiatrists and physicians who prescribe medication in conjunction with these treatments.

Work/School Functioning

Most people with ADD/ADHD discover the negative impact the illness has on their life at work or school.  At The Bay Area Center for ADD/ADHD, we focus on teaching skills that are effective in the work environment. We work with teachers, tutors, and school staff to get necessary accommodations to support success. Together, we will develop a strategy for encouraging success and combating symptoms.
